What strikes me most about Jason is his passion for a safe community is a genuine one. You know, it’s not really something that’s just a catchy soundbite for him to run on. It’s a real passion for him. Jason has the experience to make a safe community a reality for all of us.

Kurt Althoff

Sergeant, Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office

I support Jason Ashworth for two primary reasons. Number one, I think he’s a true leader. He’s assumed leadership roles in every stage of his career, and I believe he cares for children in our community. I remember he was asked several years ago what he would do with the $25,000 grant for the Sheriff’s Department. Rather than talk about things like equipment, that sort of thing, he said something I thought was really out there, you know, really cutting edge. He said he would take the $25,000 and put it into schools, starting with kindergarten kids teaching them the ill effects of drugs. I thought that was a forward-thinking Sheriff right there.
